The standard distance from the bottom of wall cabinets to the countertop is 18 inches. This measurement ensures enough space for small appliances, food preparation, and allows for a comfortable working area.
What is the typical toe space for cabinets?
Kitchen cabinet toe kick depth can be around 3 ½” and the toe kick height can be around 4” to 4 ½” depending on the manufacturer of your cabinets
What is the difference between base cabinet and sink base cabinet?
Regular base cabinets commonly have a functional drawer or full height doors. Sink base cabinets usually have a false drawer front as there is no room for a functional drawer. Apron front or farm sink cabinets usually have a flat front surface above the doors that needs to be field trimmed to accommodate the size of the apron front/farm sink. Very Important: If you plan to have an apron front/farm sink, please discuss this with us before kitchen cabinets are ordered so we can ensure the proper size sink cabinet will be ordered.
